Sets Sail !!!--"Sunny Sports Sino-U.K. School Football Project"
The Sunny Sports Administration of China is a joint administration organisation jointly founded by the Education Ministry of the People's Republic of China, General Administration of Sport of China, and the Central Committee of the Chinese Youth League of the People's Republic of China. The mission of the organisation is to implement the idea of the "Sunny Sports" advocated by the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and the State Council of China, to help the nationals build strong bodies, and to accelerate the development and reform of China’s sports and cultural education.
In order to introduce and promote the idea and elementary education of modern football originated from England, and to advance the China’s youth football reform and development more effectively, the New Era Youth Health Development Center of China, which is in charge of the daily operation under The SunnySports Administration of China, signed a 15-year (2011 - 2026) "SunnySports Sino-U.K. School Football Project" Strategic Collaboration Agreement with Dr. Sun Yi Xian's Youth Foundation (U.K.). This agreement has been approved by the Foreign Affairs Office of the Central Committee of the Chinese Youth League of the PRC on 12, April, 2011. At the first stage of the Project, Dr. Sun Yi Xian's Youth Foundation (U.K.) and the New Era Youth Health Development Center of China will laid a solid foundation in 62 key schools of football development in China’s major cities.
The effective implementation of the "SunnySports Sino-U.K. School Football Project" will set up a collaboration and exchange platform for Chinese and British schools, and will play an important role in developing the global sports market by making full use of the two countries’ respective advantages in traditional culture. It will also help bring numerous opportunities for industires such as cultural, sports, education and tourism for both China and the United Kingdom.
